Hey guys, so it’s sharing time! As in, I’m going to tell you what’s been on my mind since it’s been a hectic year for me so far and I haven’t had the Hey guys, so it’s sharing time! As in, I’m going to tell you what’s been on my mind since it’s been a hectic year for me so far and I haven’t had the opportunity to really structure where I’m going. So first off, I’m working on character biographies. Those are going to be big images featuring multiple angles/poses of the girls, with a big block of bio text as well as other details about them. Lust Unleashed has gone on long enough as a setting with an implied narrative (and even that’s overstating it). I have a really cool House of Cards style story that I want to tell with it, that I think fits the aesthetic perfectly. The only thing I’m still trying to decide is whether I want to go the comics route or the image set route with an attached story. Writing an actual story is more within my skillset, but doing a sort of comic might be a more involved way of telling it. What do you guys think? Cinematically a comic does appeal to me more. So then there’s Patreon. We’re halfway through June and I had actually hoped to have it up already, but my personal life got in the way. I’ve had a lot of messages from people asking me to do a Patreon and I’ve kinda yes-and-no’d about it over the last year and a half, but I think it’s time to do it anyway.  The reason why is actually pretty simple doing my sales on Affect3D pays the bills, but it doesn’t allow me to really expand my skillset. I am constantly returning to Daz Studio to produce a new set to keep me afloat, and while that’s all fun to do, it robs me of the time I need to invest in learning new things. If I were to reduce what I want to learn to a simple list, it comes down to basically this I need to master a new rendering engine, I need to build a secondary PC to work while I render, I need to learn how to create dynamic and custom hairstyles for my girls in Maya, I need to learn how to actually animate realistically and convincingly, and I need to learn how to make custom clothes and outfits because I want to distinguish my aesthetic some more. So that’s a lot of different things. Now, the hair and the clothes, those are actually things you can expect to see me gradually phase into my Daz Studio productions too. Because there are some hairstyles I really wanna give the girls that I just haven’t seen available yet, so the best thing for me to do is make them myself. Same with clothing. But actually applying all that to animation is a whole different ballgame. Moreover, even if I do have a secondary PC so that I can render while I work, I don’t have nearly enough hours in a month to render the kind of quality that I want. So ultimately I will have to pay render farms, and I probably (more than probably) cannot do that from my A3D income. So that’s just me being honest to you guys D I’m currently trying to figure out how to structure Patreon and the reward tiers on it. My gut leans towards a really simple donation structure, namely two tiers, a low donation tier that simply earns you my gratitude, and a higher donation tier with some additional rewards attached. Exclusive renders, story concepts, things like that. I’m more than happy to take some input or recommendations when it comes to Patreon. I’ll admit it’s not really part of my comfort zone so I’m not 100% sure on how to go about it. Because if people are going to donate money to me beyond my store sales, I need to make sure it’s worth it. Let me know what you guys think, if you made it through this wall of text D
